Community Involvement

We are heavily active in the Drupal community and Open Source community at large. We encourage everyone to contribute and provide company time to do so. We’re at camps and conferences speaking, tabling, and sharpening our skills.

At a local level, we support our community too. We’ve donated more than 100 lbs of fresh produce to the Northampton Survival Center and often have a team running in the Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage every year. Got something going on that you think we should support? We set aside some budget every year for new community initiatives.

Benefits

Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance

With 4 plan choices and a coverage tier to meet every situation, you can feel good knowing you’re covered. We offer employees health, vision, and dental insurance, covering at least 75% of the cost, plus an additional 75% for families and spouses. FSA options are available too, so you can choose the plan that’s best for you.

Employees also have the option to purchase additional types of coverage at competitive rates through our benefits provider.

Life Insurance

LCM purchases and maintains a 1x annual salary Life (and AD&D) insurance policy for all full-time employees at no cost to them. All you need to do is keep your beneficiary sheet up to date and you’re good to go. Supplemental Life Insurance coverage can be purchased at a discounted rate. 

Short/Long Term Disability Coverage & Worker’s Compensation

In addition to Life, LCM covers all full-time employees for Short and Long term disability at no additional cost to the employee. If the unthinkable or the unfortunate happens and you can’t work, you’re set to get 60% of your salary (up to $1,400/week), whether you’re out for a week, or years.

Paid Time Off (PTO

All employees are eligible for 10 days of Standard PTO for the first year, increasing to 15 on your first anniversary, 20 on your second anniversary, and 25 on your fourth anniversary, with the option to carry over up to 5 days per year. This is in addition to 5 days of Sick Time and the following paid holidays:

  • Presidents’ Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day, July 4th
  • Juneteenth 
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving

LCM also offers Bereavement Leave.

Paid Parental Leave

Everyone at LCM is eligible for 2 weeks of paid parental leave for the birth or adoption of a child, which can either be taken all at once or spread out over the first year of the child’s life with the LCM employee.

Volunteer Time Off

LCM is a great company not just because we’re all really smart people doing really awesome work, but because we’re also real people who care a lot about what’s happening in the world around us, and we want to help in every way that we can. Last Call Media doesn’t want to create barriers against our employees continuing their amazing work outside of the company. All employees are eligible for paid volunteer time off, and we only ask that the benefit not be used to support organizations that discriminate based on creed, race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability, sex, gender, identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy or any other legally protected classification.

We consider voting to be an incredibly important and meaningful way to give back to one’s community, so we support and encourage the use of VTO for participating in local and national elections.

Retirement Plans

LCM offers 401(k) featuring both traditional and Roth options, with dozens of funds to choose from. LCM also matches up to 4% of salaries, vested immediately, for those that elect to participate. 

Technology & Gear

We’ll make sure you have a capable work device that meets your job’s needs. We’re a mostly-Mac shop, but we’re down to outfit you with something else if that’s what works for you. Need a monitor? Special mouse or desk?

We make sure every team member has the software they need. We take care of hardware repair facilitation, and regularly upgrade machines. Everyone has access to the full business suite of Google Apps.

LCM offers a healthy Continuing Education and Professional Development budget to all employees, on day one. We want you to have the tools and resources you need to do your best possible work.
