Last Call Media is pleased to be a sponsor of this year’s Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage! Every year, the Hampshire community comes together by the thousands to raise money for the county’s most prolific and important domestic violence prevention non-profit, Safe Passage. Dedicated to helping victims get the counseling services, advocacy, and permanent shelter they need to live safely and away from their abusers, Safe Passage provides a variety of services.
The Hot Chocolate Run is a 5k road race of over five thousand runners and volunteers. This year, Last Call has a team of five runners: Kelly, Tom, Rob, Chris, and Jeff are accepting donations on behalf of the Last Call Media team at our Pledge Reg page. Just search for Last Call Media! “I run several races every year, and this one is special for the amount of enthusiasm and involvement that it inspires. People are genuinely excited to be a part of this,” says Rob.
“It’s a huge part of Northampton’s culture,” added Kelly, who agrees that Safe Passage provides a number of unique emergency services. “The Valley is really lucky to have an organization like Safe Passage.” Safe Passage is an organization with unparalleled dedication to preventing domestic violence in the lives of Hampshire County’s women. It provides emergency shelter, food, clothing, and counseling to victims, in addition to the many other services it provides. Proceeds from the race go back into the program, adding much-needed financial support to the growing network of services provided.
